Recently BGC Housing Group had the pleasure of announcing the exciting news of our new brand ambassadors with ‘The Block’ fan favourites, Luke and Jas.
Luke and Jasmin Neuwen (L&J) were contestants on The Block 2020. Luke is a qualified carpenter, who has recently started his own carpentry and landscaping business, Urban Edge Carpentry. Jasmin is a primary school teacher, who has recently started freelance interior design consulting since The Block.
To kick the partnership off, Luke and Jas joined us for the BGC Home Sustainability Expo in the showroom on the 22nd August, giving them the opportunity to share knowledge and tips of how to integrate sustainable practices into your home.
Sustainability improves the quality of our lives, protects our ecosystems, and preserves natural resources for future generations. It is hugely important to BGC Housing Group, so it is fantastic to share Luke and Jas’ expertise in this field.
During their time on the TV show, they were given an insight into building with sustainable options. The house built by Luke and Jas had a 6-star energy rating. A 6-star rated house is likely to use at least 24% less energy through heating and cooling alone when compared to a 5-star rated house, which is why all BGC homes are built to a minimum 6-star rating as a standard.
We’re incredibly excited to have Luke and Jas on board to provide sustainable home building tips and tricks, and interior design recommendations. Watch this space with more exciting features to come involving Luke and Jas. In the meantime, check out their Instagram page here.
